OUR WHY

Founded in 2019, Envision Growth is a public health–driven real estate development firm building healthy people and communities.

Through intentional investment in the built environment, we believe real estate development can serve as a strategy to improve health outcomes, expand access to opportunity, and support long-term community stability.

At Envision Growth, our development model integrates public health strategy, local economic multipliers, and innovative capital partnerships. We approach real estate as infrastructure—capable of reversing disinvestment, expanding economic mobility, and improving life expectancy at the neighborhood level.

Grounded in systems thinking and focused on outcomes, each project is designed to deliver long-term value for both communities and investors, with health and stability at the core.

Change.

Urban Regeneration

We operate under a shared theory of change focused on transforming underutilized, overlooked, and disinvested areas into healthier, more economically resilient communities. By repurposing existing spaces, we target upstream determinants of health—driving sustained improvements in economic conditions, physical infrastructure, environmental quality, and neighborhood viability.

Multiplier Effect

We believe in creating long-term economic value that benefits both communities and the people who call them home. By attracting new businesses, we help generate local job opportunities and increase tax revenue—resources that can be reinvested into public infrastructure, social systems, and essential services.

Impact Investing

We seek creative partnerships to invest capital into projects that address pressing social challenges. This approach has proven to be a powerful catalyst for sustainable progress—and a driver of meaningful market growth.

Dr. Oby Nwabuzor, DrPH, MBA
Founder & Principal, Envision Growth

I founded Envision Growth in 2019 to bridge a critical disconnect: the gap between the built environment and life expectancy. I’ve always believed that real estate isn’t just about buildings—it’s about lives. Where and how we build determines access to opportunity, long-term stability, and even how long people live.

My path brought together two disciplines that are too often siloed—public health and real estate development. Over the years, I’ve worked on early-stage commercial projects, single-family revitalization, and entry-level and workforce housing in communities too often excluded from investment. I lead all operations and strategic partnerships for Envision Growth, with a focus on developments that restore health, strengthen systems, and drive measurable, long-term impact.

Outside of development, I’ve helped secure over $1.7 million in funding for public health initiatives across Wisconsin—supporting SNAP access, healthy food retail, and neighborhood walkability. That same systems lens informs how we build today.

I hold a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from the Medical College of Wisconsin, an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University. I’m also an alumna of the Marquette ACRE Program, Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program, and the Urban Land Institute’s Health Leaders Network.

These experiences shaped my conviction that real estate is one of the most powerful tools we have to build healthier, longer, more stable lives. That’s what we’re here to do.
