Dr. Oby Nwabuzor, DrPH, MBA
Founder & Principal, Envision Growth
I founded Envision Growth in 2019 to bridge a critical disconnect: the gap between the built environment and life expectancy. I’ve always believed that real estate isn’t just about buildings—it’s about lives. Where and how we build determines access to opportunity, long-term stability, and even how long people live.
My path brought together two disciplines that are too often siloed—public health and real estate development. Over the years, I’ve worked on early-stage commercial projects, single-family revitalization, and entry-level and workforce housing in communities too often excluded from investment. I lead all operations and strategic partnerships for Envision Growth, with a focus on developments that restore health, strengthen systems, and drive measurable, long-term impact.
Outside of development, I’ve helped secure over $1.7 million in funding for public health initiatives across Wisconsin—supporting SNAP access, healthy food retail, and neighborhood walkability. That same systems lens informs how we build today.
I hold a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from the Medical College of Wisconsin, an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University. I’m also an alumna of the Marquette ACRE Program, Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program, and the Urban Land Institute’s Health Leaders Network.
These experiences shaped my conviction that real estate is one of the most powerful tools we have to build healthier, longer, more stable lives. That’s what we’re here to do.
